Ruoxuan (Rebecca) Wu

Welcome! I am a development economist with a focus on digital employment. 

I will be joining the Asian Development Bank as an Economist (Young Professional Program) in Fall 2026. I received my Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Chicago in 2026. 

In my work, I combine field experiments grounded in economic theory with administrative and survey data to study labor market frictions and guide policy interventions. 

My papers are under my Chinese name, Ruoxuan (pronounciation); I go by Rebecca.
